Distributed Systems Engineering
Our flagship twelve-week program for mid-level developers who need production-grade skills in multi-node architecture, reliable messaging, and cost-conscious on-chain design.
Who this is for
Working software engineers with at least two years of backend experience. You should be comfortable reading and writing code in a systems language and have basic familiarity with distributed ledger concepts.
What you will build
A complete asset-tokenization backend spanning off-chain indexing, on-chain settlement, and a documented failure-mode analysis. Your capstone undergoes a formal security audit conducted by institute staff.
Program structure
| Phase | Duration | Focus |
|---|---|---|
| Foundations | Weeks 1–3 | Consensus models, CAP trade-offs, replication strategies, and observability for distributed nodes |
| On-chain engineering | Weeks 4–6 | Self-executing agreement patterns, storage layout, gas fee analysis, and upgrade mechanisms |
| Bridge design | Weeks 7–9 | Message-passing protocols, validator assumptions, and cross-chain state reconciliation |
| Capstone & audit | Weeks 10–12 | Portfolio project completion, peer review, and individual security audit examination |
Included
